Privacy policy

In short

StockCount Pro is stock-counting software, set up individually for each customer. We collect as little as possible: what is needed to run a stock count and to answer your email. We do not sell data, we do not show third-party advertising, and nothing you enter is used to train anything.

1. Who is responsible

StockCount Pro, operated by Y. (sole trader), reachable at contact@countpro.nl. Chamber of Commerce and VAT details are provided to customers when a service agreement is signed.

2. Visitors to this website

• Analytics. We measure visits with Vercel Web Analytics: pages viewed, country, device type. No advertising cookies, no personal profiles. Your IP address is not stored.
• Email. If you write to us, we keep the conversation to respond and to follow up about the enquiry. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
• The demo. The public demo is a sandbox with fake data. If you use it, nothing you enter is linked to you, and the demo resets itself every night.

3. Customers and their staff

Once you become a customer, you are the controller of your own counting data; StockCount Pro is the processor, on the terms of the agreement we sign with you. Your data lives in your own dedicated database — one customer cannot see another's data.

What is stored in your database:

• Product lists and locations (no personal data),
• Stock counts and session history,
• Logins: names and usernames of managers and counting staff, with passwords stored only as one-way hashes (unreadable to anyone, including us),
• Counter logins expire automatically after their shift (8 hours).

We process this data only to provide and support the service. If the agreement ends, we can delete your database on request.

4. Where data lives

The application runs on Vercel and the database on Supabase, both in the EU (Frankfurt). No data leaves the EU for processing.

5. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us what data we hold about you, have it corrected, exported, or deleted, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Write to contact@countpro.nl and we will respond within 30 days.

6. Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top is updated. Substantial changes are announced to customers by email.
